PSA Contest Winners!

This summer, the Alameda County Health Care Services Agency hosted a COVID-19 health promotion and prevention messaging contest for youth.

Young people ages 13 to 24 created and designed content in four media categories . . . and . . . drumroll, please . . . we are thrilled to announce that Youth Beat students took two of the awards!

The winning entries:

Chuyi Fang’s “Battle of COVID” combined animation with video to demonstrate the proper way to wear a mask.

“NOVID-20” shared ways to keep safe from COVID via a music video set to the tune of Mustard & Roddy Ricch’s “Ballin’.” The video was created by Vince Vo and a team of Youth Beat interns, all working together, virtually, from their own homes!

Congrats to the winners and all the Youth Beat students who made COVID videos. We are inspired by your creativity and drive in such a challenging time! And we are proud to see you using your talent and growing skill to help spread messages that will keep us all safe.
