Our digital pathways in Film, TV Production, and Animation expose students to the fruitful and rewarding career opportunities available to them in the media industry—all for free.

Advanced students work for our production company Youth Beat PRO and complete professional projects for real-life clients. These interns:
Works alongside accomplished media professionals.
Build a professional portfolio of work to launch their careers and college applications
Gain valuable work experience.
Deepen their technical skills.
We offer digital media intensives and workshops during the summer as well as paid internships that keep students learning and growing while school is out of session.

School Site Programs.
Youth Beat partners with Oakland schools to provide quality digital media training programs across the city. Each school site program is unique and custom built to fit the needs of the school, from year-long intensive video and photography programs to short workshops and media mentorship to classroom teachers. Youth Beat PRO provides professional media services to clients in the East Bay—employing low-income Oakland youth in the process.
